Jane Moffatt’s 11+ experience and teaching methods have been highly sought after for the last 30 years. These intensive week-long courses will boost your child’s knowledge and confidence and give them the skills and strategies needed for success in the Colyton 11+ exams. As with Jane’s mock mornings, Jane always strives to create a welcoming, relaxed and fun environment. Limited to a small group with two experienced 11+ teachers, we can differentiate ability and also focus on individuals.

This specific course will revise all likely parts of the Quest test day and build in new topic experiences to increase resilience and independence. It especially looks at strategies for tackling different sections such as comprehension, inference, grammar knowledge and SPAG; We will boost spelling and vocab knowledge with daily tests and focus on timing and efficiency strategies to reduce stress. The children should leave this course feeling confident in each section and aware of how to manage their tests effectively.

Courses have specific focuses to hone in on a child’s weak areas but always ring and talk to us before booking if the course you are available for does not focus on the area you require. We can set up extra groups or 1:1 sessions as required.

Over decades, we have had parents come to us in May/ June panicking that they have only just found out about the Grammar entrance exams or even worse, that their present tutor has not prepared to the appropriate level. We have always done our best to help these families and know we have had great success in tutoring children to success over just a few summer months. We will put the techniques, resources and lessons we have learned into our summer courses.

The sessions run 9am – 12 noon Monday to Friday in the Committee room at Lympstone Village Hall.

Each course will cost just £275  and consist of 15 hours of tuition ( that’s £18.33 ph)  accompanied by notes and daily homework targeted to each individual child. There will be two teachers ( Jane & Mark) with the group. Maximum group size will be 10 students.
